LT-A0071/3 Vibratory Disc Mill Grinding Jar | 150 cc
The Vibratory Disc Mill Grinding Jars are designed for rapid grinding of medium-hard, hard, brittle and tough materials using the LT-A0071 Vibratory Disc Mill. Their hardened steel construction withstands intensive impact, pressure and friction during laboratory sample preparation.
- Three capacity options: Available in 50, 100 and 250 cc versions.
- Hardened steel construction: Provides a durable grinding surface for demanding materials.
- Vibratory grinding action: Works with the disc mill to generate intensive impact, compression and friction.
- Low sample loss: The enclosed jar design helps minimise material loss during grinding.
- Easy removal: Jars can be removed from the mill for sample collection and cleaning.
- Different sample quantities: Capacity can be selected according to the amount of material being prepared.
- Laboratory applications: Suitable for minerals, ores, clinker, ceramics, coal, glass and similar solid samples.
- Compatible machine: Designed for use with the LT-A0071 Vibratory Disc Mill. Liya Test lists these jars as hardened-steel accessories for the mill.

What Are Vibratory Disc Mill Grinding Jars?
The Vibratory Disc Mill Grinding Jars are used to grind mineral, ore and other solid laboratory samples before analysis. The jars form the working chamber of the vibratory disc mill. The operator places the sample inside the jar and installs it in the grinding machine.
During operation, the grinding elements apply repeated impact, compression and friction forces to the material. This intensive mechanical action helps reduce samples rapidly for subsequent laboratory analysis.
Liya Test describes the grinding jars as suitable for medium-hard, hard, brittle and tough materials.
50, 100 and 250 cc Capacity Options
Liya Test offers grinding jars with capacities of 50, 100 and 250 cc on the dedicated Grinding Jars product page. The different sizes allow laboratories to select a suitable working volume according to sample quantity.
The 50 cc version is useful for relatively small analytical samples. The 100 cc model provides additional capacity for routine preparation, while the 250 cc jar supports larger sample quantities.
The parent Vibratory Disc Mill page also lists an additional 800 cc grinding jar for the LT-A0071 machine. However, no reliable dimensions or weight are published for that version on the dedicated jar specification page.
Vibratory Grinding System
During grinding, the machine subjects the entire jar assembly to intensive vibration. This movement causes the internal grinding components to apply mechanical forces to the sample from different directions.
The material is progressively reduced between the grinding elements and the internal surfaces of the jar. Impact and friction work together to support rapid sample preparation.
The LT-A0071 Vibratory Disc Mill accepts feed material approximately between 0.075 and 5 mm, while typical grinding time varies from approximately 1 to 10 minutes, depending on the material and initial particle size. These values describe the performance of the main mill rather than a guaranteed output specification of the jar itself.
Hardened Steel Construction
The grinding jars are manufactured from hardened steel. This material provides a durable working surface for processing hard and abrasive laboratory samples. Liya Test specifically identifies hardened steel as the material used for these jars.
However, laboratories performing sensitive elemental or chemical analysis should consider the grinding material carefully. Mechanical wear may introduce small quantities of iron-containing particles into the specimen.
For this reason, the grinding jar should always be selected according to both the material being processed and the subsequent analytical method.
Easy Removal and Cleaning
The grinding jars can be removed easily from the LT-A0071 Vibratory Disc Mill after operation. This design simplifies sample collection and allows the working surfaces to be cleaned between tests.
Regular cleaning is particularly important when different materials are processed consecutively. Proper cleaning helps reduce cross-contamination and improves consistency between laboratory samples.
Dimensions and Weights
The 50 cc grinding jar measures approximately 10 × 10 × 8.5 cm and weighs 6.5 kg.
The 100 cc model measures approximately 12 × 12 × 8.5 cm and weighs 9 kg.
The larger 250 cc grinding jar measures approximately 16 × 16 × 8.5 cm and weighs approximately 15 kg. These values are published on Liya Test’s dedicated grinding jar specification page.
Overall, the Vibratory Disc Mill Grinding Jars combine hardened steel construction, different working capacities and compatibility with the LT-A0071 Vibratory Disc Mill. Therefore, laboratories can select a suitable jar size for rapid and controlled preparation of mineral, ore and other solid samples.
