LT-G0019 Tumble Screening Machine | Russell Type
The Russell Type Tumble Screening Machine is designed for classification of mineral, ore and other granular materials within a particle size range of 38 µm to 20 mm. The machine accommodates up to three Ø600 mm circular sieves and separates the material into four individual fractions.
- Wide screening range: Suitable for materials from 38 µm to 20 mm.
- Ø600 mm circular sieves: Accommodates up to three large-diameter screening decks.
- Large screening area: Each deck provides approximately 0.25 m² of screening surface.
- Three-deck operation: Allows four separate particle-size fractions to be produced in one cycle.
- 50 L feed hopper: Supports controlled feeding of relatively large laboratory samples.
- Electromagnetic vibratory feeder: Transfers material continuously and evenly onto the upper sieve.
- Four collection drums: Screened fractions are collected separately in four tightly connected plastic drums.
- Rubber-ball cleaning system: Helps keep the screen mesh open and reduces blinding during operation.
- Adjustable shaking speed: Can be set between 170 and 240 rpm.
- Certified sieve set: Supplied with three accredited certified Ø600 mm circular sieves.
- Motor: 0.25 kW, 1400 rpm according to the published product description.
- Heavy-duty construction: Designed for regular mineral and ore classification work.

What Is a Russell Type Tumble Screening Machine?
The Russell Type Tumble Screening Machine is designed to classify mineral, ore and other granular laboratory samples according to particle size. The system processes materials ranging from 38 µm to 20 mm, allowing both fine powders and relatively coarse particles to be separated within the same machine.
The LT-G0019 combines large screening surfaces, controlled feeding and multiple collection outlets to support efficient laboratory classification.
Three Ø600 mm Screening Decks
The machine can accommodate up to three Ø600 mm circular sieves at the same time. Each screening deck provides an approximate surface area of 0.25 m².
With three sieves installed, the system can produce four individual particle-size fractions in a single operating cycle. Material retained on each sieve is directed to a separate collection point, while the finest fraction passes to the lower outlet.
This multi-deck configuration reduces the need for repeated screening operations.
50 L Feed Hopper and Vibratory Feeding
The LT-G0019 includes a 50 litre feed hopper integrated with an electromagnetic vibratory feeder.
The feeder transfers material progressively onto the upper screening deck. Controlled feeding helps reduce sudden overloading and supports more uniform material distribution across the screen surface.
Consistent material flow is particularly useful when processing samples with a broad particle-size distribution.
Rubber-Ball Mesh Cleaning
Each screening deck incorporates a rubber-ball cleaning system.
During operation, the rubber balls contact the underside of the screen and help dislodge particles trapped within the mesh openings. This reduces screen blinding and helps maintain effective screening area during extended operation.
Adjustable Screening Speed
The shaking speed can be adjusted between 170 and 240 rpm.
This allows the operator to select an appropriate operating condition according to particle size, material density and flow behaviour. Fine powders may require different movement conditions than coarse mineral particles.
The machine uses a published 0.25 kW, 1400 rpm motor. However, Liya’s current product page contains conflicting electrical supply information, so the required voltage and phase should be confirmed before installation.
Separate Fraction Collection
Four plastic collection drums are tightly connected to the machine. Each drum receives a separate screened fraction, helping prevent material remixing after classification.
This arrangement also makes subsequent weighing, analysis and sample preparation easier.
Overall, the LT-G0019 Russell Type Tumble Screening Machine combines a 38 µm–20 mm screening range, three Ø600 mm decks, 50 L feeding capacity, adjustable 170–240 rpm movement and four-fraction collection system for efficient mineral and ore sample classification.
