    PRODUCT DETAILS

The Pneumatic Disc Mill is designed for rapid fine grinding of hard and brittle laboratory samples such as soil, rock, cement, limestone, ceramics and metal oxides. Its pneumatic clamping system securely holds the grinding set while three-dimensional vibration provides intensive grinding action.

    • Wide material compatibility: Suitable for soil, rock, cement, limestone, ceramics, metal oxides and similar hard or brittle materials.
    • Feed size: Accepts samples smaller than 20 mm.
    • Fine grinding performance: At least 85% of the ground material can reach below 0.075 mm (75 µm) depending on material and operating conditions.
    • 800 cc standard grinding set: The main machine is supplied with an 800 cc steel grinding set.
    • Different grinding capacities: Supports 100, 600, 800, 1000 and 2000 cc grinding sets.
    • Three-dimensional vibration: Belt-pulley drive transfers movement to the shaft and creates intensive grinding motion.
    • Pneumatic clamping: Air pressure securely fixes the grinding set during operation.
    • Adjustable timer: Allows grinding duration to be controlled according to the sample.
    • Automatic safety system: The machine stops automatically if the cover is opened or air pressure drops.
    • Dust-controlled construction: Closed design helps minimise dust leakage during operation.
    • Noise insulation: Internal fire-resistant acoustic insulation helps limit noise; Liya specifies a maximum level of approximately 85 dB, depending on the working environment.
    • Vacuum connection: Suitable for connection to an industrial vacuum dust-collection system.
    • Separate air compressor: The required air compressor must be ordered separately.

    Description

What Is a Pneumatic Disc Mill?

The Pneumatic Disc Mill is designed to reduce hard and brittle laboratory samples to fine particle sizes before chemical or physical analysis. It can process soil, rock, cement, limestone, ceramics, metal oxides and similar materials.

The LT-A0099 uses a steel grinding set combined with intensive vibration. Mechanical impact and friction inside the grinding chamber reduce the sample rapidly while the pneumatic clamping mechanism keeps the grinding set securely positioned.

Liya Test supplies the machine with an 800 cc standard steel grinding set.

Feed Size Below 20 mm and Final Fineness Below 75 µm

The Pneumatic Disc Mill accepts feed material smaller than 20 mm.

Under suitable operating conditions, at least 85% of the ground sample can reach below 0.075 mm, equivalent to 75 µm. The actual result depends on material hardness, moisture, mineral structure, grinding duration and selected grinding set.

Therefore, laboratories should optimise operating time according to the material being processed rather than treating the published fineness as an identical result for every sample.

    Different Grinding Set Capacities

The LT-A0099 supports several grinding set sizes. Liya’s current Turkish product record lists 100, 600, 800, 1000 and 2000 cc options.

The 800 cc grinding set is the standard configuration supplied with the machine. Other capacities allow laboratories to adapt the working volume according to sample quantity and preparation requirements.

    Three-Dimensional Vibratory Grinding

The machine uses a belt-pulley system to transfer mechanical movement to the shaft. This arrangement generates a three-dimensional vibration inside the grinding chamber.

The grinding disc and sample move intensively inside the steel set. Repeated impact, compression and friction reduce the material progressively.

This high-energy movement makes the device suitable for rapid sample preparation where relatively fine material is required before laboratory analysis.

    Pneumatic Clamping System

The grinding set is secured using compressed air. Pneumatic clamping keeps the grinding chamber firmly positioned while the vibration mechanism operates.

The operator places the grinding set inside the machine, closes the protective cover and selects the required grinding time.

A safety system monitors both the cover and pneumatic pressure. If the cover is opened or air pressure decreases, the machine automatically stops. The air compressor is not included and must be ordered separately.

    Dust and Noise Control

The grinding section is designed to limit dust leakage into the laboratory environment. Internal components around the motor and shaft are also protected against dust contamination.

The cabinet contains fire-resistant acoustic insulation material. Liya Test states that the noise emission level can remain at a maximum of approximately 85 dB, depending on the working environment.

The housing also allows connection to an industrial vacuum dust collector, providing an additional option for controlling airborne material during intensive grinding work.

    Heavy-Duty Laboratory Construction

The current Liya Test English specification lists the LT-A0099 at approximately 100 × 75 × 130 cm with a weight of 250 kg.

The machine operates with a 380 V, 50–60 Hz, three-phase electrical supply. Its substantial construction supports stable operation during intensive vibratory grinding.

Overall, the LT-A0099 Pneumatic Disc Mill combines fine grinding performance, pneumatic clamping, multiple grinding-set capacities and automatic safety functions. Therefore, mining, cement, ceramic and material-testing laboratories can prepare hard and brittle samples efficiently before analysis.
