What Is a Petrol Engine Core Drilling Machine?
The Petrol Engine Core Drilling Machine is designed to obtain cylindrical core specimens from asphalt, concrete and similar pavement surfaces. The machine allows field teams to prepare specimens directly at the sampling location for subsequent laboratory analysis.
Its petrol-powered configuration provides an important advantage at sites where electrical power is unavailable. Therefore, the machine is suitable for highways, construction sites, airports and infrastructure projects.
The LT-AS0013 can drill cores up to Ø200 mm in diameter and 400 mm in depth.
Powerful 6.5 HP Petrol Engine
The machine uses a 6.5 HP petrol engine to provide the power required for core drilling. Independent engine operation eliminates the need for an external electrical supply.

Controlled Drilling Mechanism

Stable and Mobile Construction
Rubber wheels allow the Core Drilling Machine to be moved easily between sampling points. The rigid lower platform also includes levelling arms that help position the drilling axis correctly.
During operation, the machine can be stabilised at four separate points. This arrangement limits unwanted movement and vibration, supporting cleaner and more consistent core specimens.
Integrated Water Cooling
A water spray system is installed directly on the machine. During drilling, water is directed towards the core bit to reduce heat generated by friction.
Cooling also helps control dust and supports longer diamond core bit service life. Proper water supply therefore contributes to more stable cutting conditions.
Ø50–Ø200 mm Core Bit Options
Liya Test offers core bits in Ø50, Ø75, Ø100, Ø150 and Ø200 mm diameters. Each option has a nominal length of 400 mm. The operator can select the required diameter according to the pavement structure and laboratory test requirements.
Core bits are supplied separately from the main machine.
