What Is a MOT Straight Edge?
The MOT Straight Edge is designed to measure local irregularities on road pavements, concrete surfaces, floors and other trafficked areas. Its rigid 3 metre measuring edge provides a reference plane for identifying gaps between the equipment and the tested surface.
Surface regularity is an important quality parameter for newly constructed and existing pavements. Local depressions or elevations may indicate construction defects and can influence ride quality, drainage and pavement performance.

Three Metre Straightedge Test
