    Description

Electromechanical Universal Testing Machine for Material Testing

The Electromechanical Universal Testing Machine is designed to perform controlled mechanical tests on a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials. With suitable accessories, laboratories can perform tensile, compression and bending tests on metals, plastics, textiles, wood and similar materials. The electromechanical drive provides precise movement while the control system continuously records load, displacement and deformation data.

    Wide Capacity Range

The product family provides different capacities for various testing requirements. The current product structure includes 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 300 kN options.

Lower-capacity machines are suitable for smaller and more sensitive specimens. Higher-capacity configurations support demanding material and structural testing applications. This range allows laboratories to select the machine according to expected maximum force and specimen geometry.

    Precise Speed and Displacement Control

The standard system operates within a 0.01–500 mm/min speed range. This wide adjustment range supports both slow deformation tests and faster routine procedures.

The machine can operate under load or displacement control. The standard series provides 0.01 mm displacement resolution, allowing crosshead movement to be monitored accurately throughout the test. Liya’s published technical data also specifies approximately ±1% load measurement accuracy over the stated measurement range.

    Tensile, Compression and Bending Tests

For tensile testing, appropriate grips hold the specimen while the crosshead applies controlled movement. The system records the applied force and specimen behaviour until the programmed test condition is reached.

Compression platens allow the same machine to perform compression testing. Suitable bending fixtures can also be installed for flexural tests. This modular structure reduces the need for separate machines for each mechanical test method.

    Extensometers and Modular Accessories

Different load cells, tensile grips, compression platens and extensometers can be installed according to the application. Extensometers allow deformation to be measured directly on the specimen and provide more accurate strain data when required. Liya lists both 0.01 mm and 0.001 mm accuracy extensometer options for the product family.

    Computer-Controlled Testing and Reporting

The software manages the test sequence and records measurement data in real time. Users can monitor graphs, process results and prepare test reports.

This computer-controlled structure improves repeatability and simplifies comparison between different materials, production batches and test programmes.

    Testing Machine Verification Standards

ASTM E4-24 covers force calibration and verification of testing machines. ISO 7500-1:2018 covers calibration and verification of the force-measuring system of static tension/compression testing machines. ISO 9513:2012 defines calibration requirements for extensometer systems used in uniaxial testing.

As a result, the Electromechanical Universal Testing Machine combines a wide capacity range, precise electromechanical motion and flexible accessories for reliable tensile, compression and bending tests.
