Core Drilling Machine for Concrete, Asphalt and Stone
The Core Drilling Machine is designed to obtain cylindrical specimens from hardened concrete, asphalt and natural stone. Its impact-free drilling method helps limit unnecessary damage around the specimen. Therefore, laboratories and field teams can prepare cores for subsequent physical and mechanical testing.
The LT-G0600 combines a powerful motor, two-speed gearbox and wide drilling range in a portable system. It supports core diameters from 50 to 255 mm, allowing one machine to cover several specimen preparation requirements.
2600 W Motor for Demanding Materials
The machine uses a 2600 W electric motor. This power supports drilling through dense concrete, natural stone and asphalt.
Electronic soft-start control brings the motor up to speed smoothly. Current limitation reduces excessive starting load. In addition, thermal overload protection helps protect the motor during demanding or extended drilling operations.
A mechanical safety clutch provides another level of protection. If the core bit becomes jammed, the clutch helps limit the sudden transfer of torque to the machine and operator.
460 and 840 rpm Two-Speed Gearbox
The oil-bath gearbox provides two operating speeds: 460 rpm and 840 rpm.
The operator can select the appropriate speed according to the core diameter and material. Larger core bits generally benefit from the lower speed. Smaller diameters can use the higher speed when suitable.
This two-speed arrangement gives the machine greater flexibility across its 50–255 mm drilling range.
Wide Range of Diamond Core Bits
Liya Test offers several dedicated core bits for the machine. Concrete applications include Ø50, Ø75, Ø100, Ø150 and Ø200 mm options.
For rock preparation, an NX Ø54.74 mm core bit is also available. The official product listing specifies these accessories as segment-type diamond coring bits with approximately 400 mm length.
Practical Feed and Motor Connection
The feed lever can be mounted on either side of the drilling rig without special tools. This feature improves access in confined working areas.
A quick-change motor plate also allows the motor to be separated from the rig more easily. As a result, maintenance, transport and accessory changes become simpler.
Core Sampling and Concrete Testing
EN 12504-1 is particularly relevant to taking, examining and testing cores from hardened concrete. ASTM C42/C42M similarly addresses drilled cores and sawed beams obtained from concrete.
