Manual Mortar Mixer for Cement and Mortar Preparation
The Manual Mortar Mixer prepares cement pastes and standard mortar specimens under controlled laboratory conditions. Its planetary mixing mechanism combines paddle rotation with movement around the mixing bowl. This action helps distribute cement, water and sand throughout the mixture.
Consistent specimen preparation is important because differences in mixing can influence later strength and physical test results. Therefore, standardized mixer speeds help laboratories obtain more comparable specimens.
Two-Speed Planetary Mixing
The mixer provides two predefined operating speeds. At low speed, the paddle rotates at 140 rpm, while the planetary movement operates at 62 rpm.
At high speed, the paddle speed increases to 285 rpm and the planetary movement reaches 125 rpm. These speed levels correspond to the standard mixing arrangement used for cement mortar preparation.
The operator selects the required speed using the control switch mounted on the machine. This straightforward arrangement allows quick transition between different stages of the mixing procedure.
5 L Stainless Steel Bowl
The Manual Mortar Mixer is supplied with an approximately 5 litre mixing bowl and beater. Both components can be easily removed from the machine.
The removable design simplifies specimen transfer and cleaning. Regular cleaning is especially important because hardened cement residue can affect later batches and change the effective geometry of the bowl.
Manual Sand Addition
An integrated sand-filling arrangement helps the operator introduce standard sand during mortar preparation. Unlike the automatic programmable model, the operator controls the timing of the process manually.
