What Is a 120 L Rotary Sample Divider?
The 120 L Rotary Sample Divider is designed to divide and reduce large quantities of powdered or granular bulk materials into representative subsamples. Accurate sample preparation is essential because analytical results depend heavily on whether the laboratory sample properly represents the original bulk material.
The LT-A9900 uses a vibratory feeding system and rotating segmented collection buckets. Material is fed continuously onto the rotating system and distributed between multiple collection sections.
Liya Test describes the system as suitable for representative and dust-controlled division of bulk materials used in mining, geology, agriculture, construction materials, chemistry, metallurgy, food, glass and ceramic laboratories.
Magnetic Vibratory Feeding System
The feed hopper transfers material using a magnetic vibratory system. Both feed rate and material quantity can be adjusted continuously.
This allows the operator to adapt the flow according to the physical characteristics of the sample. Fine powders may require different feeding conditions than coarse granular materials.
The feeder inclination can also be adjusted from approximately 0° to 10°, providing additional control for materials with different flow properties.
Eight Rotating Sample Buckets
The sample is distributed into eight individual sections positioned beneath the feeding system.
Each bucket is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel and has a triangular-prism configuration with an approximate 10 litre capacity. Handles allow the buckets to be removed and transported more easily after the dividing process.
The rotating arrangement helps distribute successive portions of the bulk material between the collection buckets rather than sending one continuous stream into a single container.
Adjustable 0–60 rpm Rotation Speed
The sample-bucket assembly is driven by a variable-speed motor. The operator can adjust rotational speed continuously between 0 and 60 rpm using the electronic control panel.
Adjustable speed allows the system to be adapted to different feed rates and sample characteristics. Maintaining stable feeding and rotation parameters can also help laboratories reproduce similar dividing conditions between batches.
0–50 mm Particle Size Range
The LT-A9900 is designed to process materials within approximately 0–50 mm particle size.
This broad range supports applications involving minerals, cement clinker, construction materials, fertilizers, sand, soils, seeds, grains, metal powders and similar bulk products.
The actual operating settings should still be selected according to particle shape, moisture level, bulk density and flow characteristics.
304 Stainless Steel Material-Contact Parts
The feeding hopper and sample buckets are manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel. Other structural components are manufactured from steel with an electrostatic powder-coated finish.
Stainless steel surfaces provide durable material-contact areas and simplify routine cleaning between samples. Proper cleaning is particularly important when different materials are processed consecutively because residual particles may create cross-contamination.
Mobile and Stable Laboratory Design
The Automatic Rotary Sample Divider is mounted on a four-wheel mobile chassis. This design allows the equipment to be moved within the laboratory when required.
Wheel-mounted stabilising locks secure the machine during operation. Liya’s official technical table lists the complete LT-A9900 at approximately 380 kg.
Representative Bulk Sample Division
The 120 L Rotary Sample Divider is suitable for mining laboratories, mineral-processing facilities, cement plants, universities, agricultural laboratories and industrial quality-control departments.
Its combination of adjustable vibratory feeding, eight rotating collection sections, 0–60 rpm speed control and 0–50 mm particle compatibility provides a flexible solution for reducing large bulk samples before laboratory analysis.
Overall, the LT-A9900 120 L Rotary Sample Divider helps laboratories organise high-volume sample reduction while maintaining controlled and repeatable operating conditions.
