Cement Flow Table is designed to determine the consistency and flow behaviour of fresh mortar, lime and cement-based mixtures. The specimen is placed in a truncated-conical mould and subjected to controlled drops with a 10 mm drop height. Manual and motorized versions are available in separate EN and ASTM configurations, allowing laboratories to select the appropriate system for their test method.

Cement Flow Table for Fresh Mortar Consistency Testing
The Cement Flow Table is used to determine the consistency and flow behaviour of freshly mixed mortar, lime and cement-based specimens. The test measures how far a prepared specimen spreads after a controlled series of table drops. This provides laboratories with a practical method for comparing different mortar mixtures under repeatable conditions.
Controlled Flow Measurement
The operator first places the appropriate truncated-conical mould in the centre of the table. Fresh mortar is then introduced into the mould and compacted according to the selected test procedure.
After specimen preparation, the mould is removed vertically. The table is operated for the required number of drops. Each movement produces a 10 mm vertical drop, causing the mortar to spread across the circular surface.
The final spread diameter is measured and recorded as the flow value.
Manual and Motorized Models
Liya Test offers both manual and motorized Cement Flow Table models.
The manual versions use a hand-operated mechanism. They provide a simple solution for laboratories with lower testing volumes and require no electrical power.
Motorized models use a geared drive system operating at approximately one revolution per second. The required number of drops can be preset on the counter. Once the selected cycle is completed, the machine stops automatically.
EN and ASTM Configurations
The EN version uses a 100 × 70 × 60 mm flow mould together with an Ø40 × 200 mm, 250 g tamping rod.
The ASTM configuration uses a 100 × 70 × 50 mm mould and a hardwood tamping rod measuring 13 × 25 × 150 mm. Therefore, the laboratory should select the mould and accessory set according to the test standard being applied.
EN 1015-3 Flow Table Testing
EN 1015-3:1999 specifies the determination of the consistency of freshly mixed mortar by flow value. The standard remains current and applies to mortars containing mineral binders with normal-weight or lightweight aggregates.
ASTM C230/C230M Flow Table
ASTM C230/C230M-23 defines the requirements for the flow table and associated equipment used in hydraulic cement mortar consistency tests. The specification covers the table, mould and related measuring equipment.
As a result, the Cement Flow Table combines controlled drop movement, dedicated EN and ASTM configurations, and manual or motorized operation for repeatable fresh mortar consistency testing.
