Description
The Liya Test flakiness index is based on the flatness determination of aggregates. According to the BS standard, it is used to determine whether the amount of flat grains in the aggregate stack is within acceptable limits, ie the grain thickness (smallest size) is less than 0.6 times the average of the sieve mesh of the grain class range to which it belongs. The aggregates to be tested are divided into 7 different grain classes between 63 mm and 6.3 mm and each grain class is analyzed separately.
The apertures are 4.9×30 mm, 7.2×40 mm, 10.2×50 mm, 14.4×60 mm, 19.7×80 mm, 26.3×90 mm and 33.9×100 mm.
