The LIYA Field Survey Test Kit is ideal for geotechnical engineers, geologists and agricultural experts to conduct quick and rapid soil surveys in the field.
The Test Kit consists of LİYA Vane Test Equipment and LİYA Heavy Duty Pocket Penetrometer. Supplied with practical carrying case.
LIYA Pocket Type Vane Test Equipment is used to determine the undrained shear strength (CU) of cohesive soils in the field. The auger consists of a spring-loaded cylindrical body and different sized vane winged cutting tips which are used in accordance with the predicted strength of the test ground. Length / diameter ratio of winged cutting inserts is 2. During the test, the winged cutting tips are applied to the ground at a depth of 5-6 cm and rotated using a handle. For measurements to be carried out deeper than the ground level (eg on the top of the undisturbed specimens), an extension bar is used. The extension bar must be ordered separately. All parts are supplied with plastic storage box.
