The Double Drum ISO Tumbler Test Device<\/strong> evaluates the resistance of iron ore materials to degradation caused by mechanical impact and abrasion. The test exposes a prepared sample to repeated tumbling inside a rotating drum and evaluates the resulting particle-size changes.<\/p>\n

The method is used for lump ores, sinters and hot-bonded pellets<\/strong> intended for blast-furnace and direct-reduction applications. ISO 3271 defines the determination of both the tumble index and abrasion index<\/strong>, providing a relative measure of material resistance to mechanical degradation.<\/p>\n
