What Is a Tiltable Ball & Rod Mill?<\/h2>\n

The Tiltable Ball & Rod Mill<\/strong> is designed for fine grinding of mineral, ore and other solid laboratory samples. The machine supports both wet and dry grinding and can operate with either grinding balls or rods.<\/p>\n

The LT-M0609<\/strong> accepts feed material smaller than 8 mm<\/strong> and processes approximately 500\u20131500 ml<\/strong> of sample per cycle. Under suitable operating conditions, the system can achieve a final fineness below 40 \u00b5m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, final particle size depends on material hardness, initial particle size, grinding time, rotation speed and grinding-media loading.<\/p>\n

9 Litre Stainless Steel Grinding Tube<\/h2>\n

The machine is equipped with a cylindrical grinding tube manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel<\/strong>. The tube has an internal volume of 9 litres<\/strong> and internal dimensions of approximately \u00d8178 \u00d7 362 mm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stainless steel construction supports both wet and dry grinding applications. The tube also incorporates axially opening covers at both ends, providing convenient access during sample loading, unloading and cleaning.<\/p>\n

Ball and Rod Grinding Options<\/h2>\n

The LT-M0609 is supplied with two different grinding-media configurations.<\/p>\n

One charge consists of heat-treated hardened chromium-alloy grinding balls<\/strong>. Ball grinding generates repeated impact and friction forces inside the rotating tube.<\/p>\n

The second charge consists of AISI 304 stainless steel grinding rods<\/strong>. Rod grinding creates a different contact pattern and provides laboratories with an alternative method for controlling the grinding process.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the operator can select the most appropriate configuration according to the sample and required particle-size distribution.<\/p>\n

Variable 0\u2013100 rpm Speed Control<\/h2>\n

An electronic motor speed controller provides continuously variable tube rotation from 0 to 100 rpm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Adjustable speed allows laboratories to adapt the grinding action according to material properties and required fineness. For comparative sample preparation, maintaining consistent speed, grinding time and media loading helps improve repeatability.<\/p>\n

Tilting Mechanism for Easy Loading<\/h2>\n

One of the main advantages of the Tiltable Ball & Rod Mill<\/strong> is its positioning mechanism.<\/p>\n

A worm-gear reducer and manual handwheel allow the cylindrical grinding tube to be positioned horizontally for grinding<\/strong> and vertically for loading and unloading<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This configuration simplifies the handling of samples and heavy grinding media. It also reduces the need for the operator to manually lift or reposition the complete grinding tube.<\/p>\n

Motor and Drive System<\/h2>\n

The LT-M0609 uses a 1.5 kW electric motor operating at approximately 1400 rpm<\/strong>. A gearbox and V-belt drive transmit motor power to the grinding tube.<\/p>\n

The combined drive and tilting system provides controlled operation for mineral-processing laboratories, universities, research centres and industrial sample-preparation facilities.<\/p>\n
