What Is a Depot Tray Test Set?<\/h2>\n

The Depot Tray Test Set<\/strong> is designed to determine the transverse uniformity of binder distribution produced by bituminous binder sprayers. The system evaluates how evenly binder is applied across the effective width of the spray bar.<\/p>\n

Uniform binder distribution is important during road surface dressing, bond coat, sealing and similar spraying applications. Excessive binder in one area and insufficient binder in another can reduce application quality. Therefore, distribution testing helps operators identify spray bar irregularities before or during field operations.<\/p>\n

Wheeled Collection System<\/h2>\n

The equipment uses a mobile trolley designed to move beneath the distributor spray bar. The operator positions the trolley and containers across the spraying area before starting the test.<\/p>\n

During operation, sprayed binder falls directly into the individual collection containers. Once sufficient material has been collected, the trolley is withdrawn from beneath the spray system.<\/p>\n
