What Is a Vialit Plate Adhesion Test Apparatus?<\/h2>\n

The Vialit Plate Adhesion Test Apparatus<\/strong> determines the adhesion performance between bituminous binders and aggregates. The system uses the Vialit plate impact method to evaluate how strongly aggregate particles remain bonded to a binder-coated surface. Therefore, laboratories can assess the compatibility of materials intended for road surface applications.<\/p>\n

Strong adhesion between binder and aggregate is important for the durability of surface treatments. The Vialit test also helps compare different binder and aggregate combinations before use.<\/p>\n

How Is the Vialit Plate Impact Test Performed?<\/h2>\n

The operator first coats one side of a metal test plate with the selected bituminous binder. Aggregate particles are then distributed across the prepared surface.<\/p>\n

A rubber-lined hand roller<\/strong> presses the particles into the binder and helps create a consistent specimen. The prepared plate is positioned on the test apparatus, which uses a stable supporting structure during impact.<\/p>\n
