What Is an Asphalt Mixer?<\/h2>\n

The Asphalt Mixer<\/strong> prepares hot mixtures of bitumen and aggregate under controlled laboratory conditions. The system mixes materials at an adjustable speed to produce a homogeneous sample. Therefore, laboratories can prepare different asphalt mixtures under repeatable conditions.<\/p>\n

Mixture homogeneity directly affects the reliability of subsequent asphalt tests. For this reason, controlled mixing speed and temperature are important during sample preparation. The availability of different capacities also allows laboratories to select a suitable model according to the required sample volume.<\/p>\n

Adjustable Mixing Speed<\/h2>\n

An integrated potentiometer allows the operator to adjust the mixing speed. The user can select the appropriate speed according to the sample type, aggregate grading and mixture consistency.<\/p>\n

Controlled rotation helps distribute the materials evenly inside the mixing bowl. In addition, the specially designed mixing paddle promotes effective blending of bitumen and aggregate. As a result, laboratories can produce homogeneous mixtures for testing.<\/p>\n

Controlled Temperature During Mixing<\/h2>\n

Hot bituminous mixtures must remain within the appropriate temperature range during preparation. For this reason, the Asphalt Mixer can operate with an optional electric bottom heater<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The heater helps compensate for heat loss during the mixing process. The 20 litre model<\/strong> can be used with a heater capable of temperatures up to approximately 200 \u00b0C<\/strong>. This supports preparation of different binder and aggregate combinations under controlled conditions.<\/p>\n

5, 10 and 20 Litre Capacity Options<\/h2>\n

The product range includes 5, 10 and 20 litre<\/strong> Asphalt Mixers. The LT-AS0008<\/strong> is the 5 litre version, LT-AS0009<\/strong> provides 10 litre capacity and LT-AS0010<\/strong> is designed for 20 litre batches.<\/p>\n

Different capacities allow laboratories to prepare both smaller research samples and larger batches for routine testing.<\/p>\n

Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl<\/h2>\n

Each mixer uses a mixing bowl suitable for its capacity. The durable construction supports high-temperature laboratory work and simplifies cleaning after sample preparation.<\/p>\n

The specially designed mixing paddle continuously moves the aggregate and binder throughout the bowl. This action helps achieve uniform binder distribution across the mixture.<\/p>\n

Laboratory Applications<\/h2>\n

Asphalt Mixers<\/strong> are suitable for asphalt producers, highway laboratories, universities, research centres and quality control facilities. They can support specimen preparation before Marshall testing, asphalt mix design and other bituminous mixture investigations.<\/p>\n

Mixing According to EN 12697-35<\/h2>\n

The Asphalt Mixer supports laboratory mixing procedures according to EN 12697-35<\/strong>. This standard covers laboratory mixing of bituminous materials for the production of test specimens. Liya Test lists EN 12697-35 as the applicable standard for this mixer series.<\/p>\n
