What Are Unit Weight Measures?<\/h1>\n

Unit Weight Measures<\/strong> are used to determine the mass of aggregate or fresh concrete contained within a known volume. The laboratory compares the calibrated volume of the measure with the recorded mass. This allows users to calculate aggregate bulk density or fresh concrete density<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Accurate volume and a stable internal geometry are important for reliable results. Therefore, the operator should clean and dry the measure before testing and record its empty mass. The material is then placed into the container according to the applicable test method.<\/p>\n

Different Capacity Options<\/h2>\n

L\u0130YA Test offers models with capacities of 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20 and 30 liters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Smaller measures provide practical handling for lower specimen quantities. Larger models offer more working volume for coarse aggregates and higher-volume fresh concrete applications.<\/p>\n

The operator should select the capacity according to the maximum aggregate size and the applicable test procedure. A suitable measure allows the material to settle naturally and helps improve consistency between repeated tests.<\/p>\n

Bulk Density Testing of Aggregates<\/h2>\n

First, the operator weighs the clean and dry measure. Aggregate is then introduced according to the specified procedure.<\/p>\n
